What a week it has been! We’ve officially launched CDNify and the blood, sweat and tears of the last few months have all been worth it!
Our launch was a huge success, which was helped by the coverage we received in some of the following fantastic news sites and blogs:
As one of the most credible and insightful voices at the intersection of business and technology, GigaOM’s coverage really helped to kick off our launch.
As a well known tech reporter, we were really pleased when David highlighted that CDNify ‘significantly undercuts both Amazon and Rackspace’. His release caught the interest of many GigaOM readers and Twitter went CDNify mad with lots of shares of the article.
It’s always nice to get mentioned, but to get mentioned in an article entitled ‘Creative Cities: Manchester’ was fantastic.
Katy Cowan, founder of Creative Boom, which ‘loves to champion creativity’ included CDNify in the list of startups to watch from Manchester. Katy wrote ‘CDNify, a new startup which offers a content delivery network for tech start ups and freelance developers… basically supercharging content to accelerate apps and websites’.
‘Supercharging content’ has a nice ring to it, we will have to remember that one!
Our Twitter went mad once again when our launch received coverage from the WHIR, the largest news organization and consumer resource dedicated to the web hosting industry.
Nicole Henderson, Editor in Chief of the Web Host Industry Review wrote, ‘CDNify aims to serve the gap in the market left by traditional CDNs, which are typically designed for enterprise and corporate customers. Until recently, there was not a simple solution for startups and developers to purchase CDN and spin the services up quickly’.
CDN Advisor pride themselves on releasing top news about Content Delivery Networks, so we were not too surprised when they decided to cover our launch.
‘Today (on April 22, 2013), CDNify, an eleven-member Manchester-based technological startup, announced the launch of its Content Delivery Network solution, which is aimed at and optimized for tech startups and developers, and allows them to optimize their websites while ensuring scalability to meet up with their fast-growing needs’.
Marketing Tech Blog, which ‘work hard to provide you with the best resources and advice on marketing in new media’, ran an article from our CMO Mike, entitled ‘Power your online marketing with CDNify’. In this article, Mike explains why marketers need a CDN to ensure that high levels of traffic do not ruin their hard work.
Giants Yahoo News picked up on our launch, highlighting that ‘CDNify’s introduction of no long term contracts or subscriptions, and the ability for users to simply top up their account on a pay as you go basis, allows small companies and freelancers the ability to scale their website or application as their audiences grow’.
We were also lucky enough to have the launch covered by Streaming Media, Virtual Strategy magazine and many more.
Overall, we think it is fair to say that we enjoyed some great exposure for our launch which topped off a fantastically fun, stressful and educational week!
